College Award for Amy

Sutherlands Hair and Beauty wins Dundee and Angus college hairdressing award

Sutherlands Hair and Beauty hair stylist Amy, has scooped an award for her hairdressing skills from Dundee and Angus College.

Amy will be presented with the Jackson Gray award for ‘exceptional performance’ on achieving her Level 3 Qualification in Hairdressing at an upcoming ceremony to be at held at Dundee and Angus College.

The talented hairdresser joined the Sutherlands Hair and Beauty team on leaving school in St Andrews and attained her hairdressing qualifications as part of a program set up between Sutherlands and Dundee and Angus College. The program enabled her to study whilst perfecting her skills as a full-time stylist in the salon.

The Level 3 qualification is for established hair stylists looking to attain senior stylist status. To pass the exam candidates must be able to cut and colour hair using a variety of techniques, provide colour correction services, creatively style and dress hair, create a variety of permed effects, as well as studying salon marketing and safety procedures.

Amy was put forward for the award due to her ‘consistently high standard of work’ and was delighted to be told she was a winner this week. This is the second time the salon has won the award and we are all very proud of Amy for her hard work and dedication. Well done Amy!
