Firstly, we would like to thank all of our clients – our team have been blown away by the number of appointment requests and continued support over the lockdown period. We look forward to welcoming you into the salon on April 5th!
To get you all titivated as quickly as possible, we will be extending our hours of opening on Mondays until May. We kindly request that you let us know if you need to cancel your appointment at earliest time (at least within our policy period), so that we accommodate you and other clients on the waiting list.
If you have fully embraced the ‘lockdown look’ and feel you may require additional time on your first visit, please let us know and we will reserve the extra time. The extra cost (up to £5 for cutting) is well worth the investment providing the necessary time to restore you to fabulous.
The beauty salon will be opening in line with Government guidelines on April 26th and we will update you on the full range of beauty services we can offer nearer the time. Beauty appointments can be booked by phone from April 5th.
Staff and Price Updates
We are delighted to welcome hairstylist Audrey Desouza back to the salon as Principal Stylist. Many of you may remember Audrey as Ann back when stylists changed their name if there was another team member with the same name. We are thrilled that Audrey is joining us; not only does she have a wealth of hairdressing experience with over 40 years in the industry, but her positive and fun nature will be a welcome addition to team Sutherland. Audrey will be available for cutting services from our reopening date of April 5th.
We are also delighted to welcome Sam back to the floor after her shoulder injury last year.
Congratulations to hairstylists Jacqueline and Wendy on their promotion to Principal Stylists, and Joanna, Amanda and Sally on their promotion to Director. These promotions recognise their skills and experience, and reflects their total dedication to client care. Well done.

Consultation Forms, Patch Testing & Covid-19 Guidelines
Consultation forms will be sent via email to clients ahead of appointments. It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other so we ask that you refresh your information in advance to ensure we provide the right service and advice. We can help you with this procedure in the salon if needed.
You must complete a new patch test if it’s been longer than six months since your last colour service at Sutherlands. But also if you’ve coloured your hair at home in the meantime, or had Covid, or a vaccination….. To make things simple we will offer a patch test to all clients on their first visit to the salon and update your digital records accordingly. Even if you don’t have your hair coloured at your initial appointment, this quick and simple test gives you the option for the future.
Lastly but by no means least, the safety of our customers and our team, remains our priority. Whist there is clear light at the end of the Covid tunnel we will remain vigilant through the summer.
